LAMONT TO RUDY: NO TOLLS PLANNED IN DANBURY AREA

Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi confirmed with Governor Ned Lamont on Saturday, Oct. 19th, during his visit to Ridgefield, that general tolling on I-95, I-91, the Merritt Parkway and I-84 will not be implemented as was originally planned. This was confirmed again during a call with the governor’s office on Oct. 29th.

This means there will be no border tolls—or tolls of any type—in the Danbury area and no possible diversion of traffic into Ridgefield due to tolls.

But as a member of the Water Pollution Control Authority—and your first selectman—I understand why this is happening. Stay with me a minute and you will, too.
